We witness a spectacular phase of the new swimming pool's construction
The prefabricated reinforced concrete structures of the swimming pool built in Etelka Row (Szeged) are made in the Heves factory of Grabarics Reinforced Concrete (GRC) and the same company will complete the on-site assembly of the panels. The structure of the grandstand is in the process of completion and also the walls of the pools can be recognized, including a warm-up pool, a hot-water basin and the thermal relaxing pool.
We witness a spectacular phase of the new swimming pool's construction

The space above the small pool has already been roofed: the 34 reinforced concrete saddle components of special make, each weighing approx. 20 tons were transported to the site by special trucks. In addition to the beams of the grandstand and the crossbeams, also the filigree beams were produced by GVB. Quite until now, 1500 tons of reinforcing rods and 9000 m3 of concrete have been built into the swimming pool's structure. Yet, a further 200 tons of rods and 500 m3 of concrete will be needed.

The sport complex's floor area is 13,000 m2 and it meets the relevant international standards. The modern roofed swimming pool will comprise a 50 x 25 m 10-lane competition pool. It is surrounded by a fixed grandstand accommodating 1169 spectators and is supplemented by a warm-up pool and a thermal pool for the beginners. In addition, an indoor and outdoor relaxing pool, a sitting pool and a training facility shall belong to the complex.
