We took over the workspace in the fall of 2025. During the renovation, which covered nearly 1,000 square meters, we completely remodeled an existing section of the building while production in the surrounding areas continued uninterrupted.
The former office, warehouse, and workshop areas were replaced with a TMK workshop, a laboratory, restroom facilities, and new offices and meeting rooms. On the upper floor, we created a dining area, a lounge, and an outdoor terrace, and by partially opening up the ceiling, we also created an interior courtyard.
One of the greatest challenges of the project was the site’s specific conditions. We carried out demolition and structural work in a building nearly sixty years old, in the immediate vicinity of the production areas. We scheduled work involving mechanical and electrical connections to coincide with the plant’s maintenance periods, and ensuring that production could continue uninterrupted was a fundamental consideration throughout the project planning.
Following Bazalt III, another contract was awarded
In the summer of 2026, ROCKWOOL commissioned our company for another project. This time, the focus was on the special design of the Bazalt III hall’s roof structure.
We rebuilt a section of the roof so that it can be lifted out using a crane and opened if necessary. Thanks to this, even larger machinery units can be lifted directly into the hall in the future.
The two projects differed significantly in scale and technical scope, but in both cases, adapting to the operational industrial environment and precise organization were key factors.
With the completion of the work in Tapolca, our nearly one-year-long project at the ROCKWOOL site has also come to an end. We would like to thank our colleagues for their expertise and hard work, as well as our partners for their collaboration, which contributed to the successful completion of both projects.
