Unused historic building in Erzsébet City to revive as a hotel

With the work of Grabarics Kft., a 93-room hotel will be developed in Eötvös Street, Budapest.

Grabarics Építőipari Kft. is going to commence work soon on a construction project having paused for a long time in district VI of the capital city. Next to Andrássy Street, in Eötvös Street, the new four-star superior category hotel of the Triptara Group will be erected. The façade of the building under historic monument protection, built in 1885, shall be preserved during the project. It has been kept in place by means of steel scaffolds since 2011, the beginning of the world economic crisis.

An area of over 6 thousand square meters will be available for guests

The designs of Studio A4, earlier designer of the visual world of the Blind Children’s Home, will be the basis of the 93-room hotel. From the three underground levels of the building, two will serve as garages and one will function predominantly as engine room.

The reception and the dining areas of the seven-story building will be arranged on the courtyard front of the ground floor, while the upper floors will give a space of net 6257 square meters for the guest rooms in the building. The inner courtyard will be utilized as a green area.

An elegant hotel will be erected by working in narrow streets

Through this investment project, Eötvös Street almost completely preserving the city scape of the turn of the century will continue to develop while life can go on behind the façade of the property under historic monument protection.

Grabarics Kft. is going to work on the development project in a narrow street just one corner apart from both Andrássy Avenue and the Grand Boulevard, next to the block of the Azerbaijan Embassy under special treatment. With the completion of the project, the capital city with its ever-growing number of tourist will be enriched by another elegant hotel.
