The Investor of the Year Prizes have been awarded, eight enterprises have received the recognition of the National Investment Agency for their outstanding development projects implemented in 2017.

Following the R+D center of the German group in Budapest and its under-carriage factory in Győr, production can be launched in two further units in 2018: steering systems and camshafts integrated into cylinder head will be manufactured at Jászfényszaru while springs and stabilizers will be produced in Debrecen. Both facilities have been implemented by Grabarics Kft.

Péter Szíjjártó, minister of foreign affairs and trade, emphasized on the awards ceremony that the Hungarian economy has broken all foreign trade records in 2017 after its record performances achieved in 2015 and 2016.

The minister of foreign affairs and trade underlined that most investments ever came to Hungary through the investment motivation system in 2017; last year, with the contribution of HIPA investors brought 3.5 billion € to Hungary through 96 projects, representing 17 thousand new workplaces. The minister added that from the 96 investment projects 36 have been implemented in the automobile sector.

  • Grabarics Kft. is participating as the general contractor in the Bazalt III project at ROCKWOOL’s Tapolca site, which involves the comprehensive development and renovation of the existing office, workshop, and warehouse areas. The project is scheduled for completion, with technical handover set to begin, in the third quarter of 2026.
  • Weinberg '93 Ltd. and GRABARICS Ltd. won the consortium tender for the expansion of Dreher Breweries in 2024. A unique investment in the Hungarian beer industry is underway at the historic Dreher Brewery, with the aim of modernizing the brewery's technology. The first phase involves the construction of a new cellar and energy block, with the general contractor's work already well underway.
