The pillars are being erected already
The structural works of the handball hall in Szeged are well under way after completing the foundation works. The prefabricated structure of the Academy has been completed by now. The Grabarics Vasbeton company performs the manufacture and site erection of the entire prefabricated structure of the PICK Arena Szeged multifunctional sports centre.
The handball hall, which is fully accessible for people with disabilities, will be constructed with 8300 seats in the Upper Tisza embankment at the place of the former city stadium. The project includes a handball hall, which will be the venue of the men handball European Championship 2020, as well as a training hall containing two fields. In addition to that, conference room with at least 80 seats, four training halls and two warming up halls will be constructed. A training hall with two fields will be established next to the project including a dormitory division, where 30+ children can be accommodated, who will be educated for the next generation handball team.
An auditorium suitable for 5500 spectators will be established at the gallery level (first floor) with a geometry corresponding to international regulations. Snack bars, water handling blocks and cloak room will be provided here. The camera stands necessary for television broadcast will be established here also. The rest of the spaces for 2800 spectators will be accessible form an upper balcony. The direct connection between the two levels will by ensured by staircases.
- Grabarics Kft. is participating as the general contractor in the Bazalt III project at ROCKWOOL’s Tapolca site, which involves the comprehensive development and renovation of the existing office, workshop, and warehouse areas. The project is scheduled for completion, with technical handover set to begin, in the third quarter of 2026.
- Weinberg '93 Ltd. and GRABARICS Ltd. won the consortium tender for the expansion of Dreher Breweries in 2024. A unique investment in the Hungarian beer industry is underway at the historic Dreher Brewery, with the aim of modernizing the brewery's technology. The first phase involves the construction of a new cellar and energy block, with the general contractor's work already well underway.

One special example of this is the Balaton Park Circuit project in Balatonfőkajár, where our Concrete division had the opportunity to prove itself in a new field: the curbs for the MotoGP track have been completed.

- Grabarics Kft. has won the tender for the implementation of Unilever Hungary's nearly €50 million investment, which will see a new factory built in Nyírbátor. The new facility will manufacture aerosol deodorants for world-renowned beauty brands, including Axe, Rexona, and Dove.
