The extension project of the factory complex in Jászfényszaru of the German thyssenkrupp has reached now an important milestone.

In the factories of the company various products are manufactures for the international automotive customers, including electronic steering systems, as well as components necessary for internal combustion engines. The company decided to initiate an extension of production capacities because the demand for its high-quality products is unbroken even in this period, when one has to tackle many challenges. As a result of the capacity increasing project the area of the factory in Jászfényszaru will be extended by about 11,000 m2-rel, and in addition to that, a truck parking lot will be established with an area of 3,500 m2 within the factory premises. After completing the production hall, the manufacturing units, machines and production lines will be commissioned gradually until the end of 2025.

This is particularly true for such as complex fields, like the automotive industry. The thyssenkrupp has long term plans in Hungary, therefore its development efforts in the country are continued.” – emphasized by Marc de Bastos Eckstein, the executive director of thyssenkrupp Components Technology Hungary at the topping out ceremony taking place on 15 September of the factory being implemented.

 

The storey of successes of thyssenkrupp in Hungary was started in 1999, when Hungarian engineers and thyssenkrupp undertook a joint effort to develop new electromechanical steering systems.

 

By now the company is among the top 100 domestic companies providing the most jobs and ranking as the most favoured employers. The company is also ranked among the top 50 domestic company realizing the highest revenues from export. Since 2015 the value of investments initiated in Hungary by thyssenkrupp is over 150 billion HUF. The cooperation between thyssenkrupp and Grabarics Ltd was started in 2016. As part of this efforts, we constructed factories for thyssenkrupp at two venues in Debrecen and in Jászfényszaru.  Since then, in the factory of Jászfényszaru, the two companies also cooperated with regard the implementation of capital expenditure aiming to extend the production capacities. In the present investment project, the designing, manufacturing, delivery and site erection of the prefabricated reinforced concrete framework were made by the Grabarics Vasbeton.

  • In December 2021, Szeged was enriched with a large-scale facility when the Szeged Multifunctional Handball Hall (also known as the PICK Aréna) was inaugurated. The complete prefabricated structure of the sports centre was designed and the elements were manufactured and installed on site by Grabarics Reinforced Concrete.
